About the Series
What Happened to You? is a 30-hour online seminar series designed to help you understand psychological trauma, what it is, what effects it can have, and what is the path toward healing.
The content is grounded in scientific research, yet presented in a clear, accessible language. Whether you are trying to make sense of your own experiences or better understand someone you care about, this series offers the knowledge and tools to do so.
Purpose
These seminars are not a substitute for psychotherapy. They are designed to inform about and raise awareness of psychological trauma and its long-term impact on a person’s life.
Throughout the series, we will explore topics such as:
- Post-traumatic and complex post-traumatic stress: Definitions, causes, symptoms, similarities and differences.
- The neurobiology of trauma: The “window of tolerance” and the four stress responses: fight, flight, freeze, fawn.
- The impact trauma can have on thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and behaviour.
- Relationships and attachment wounds: How relational experiences can deeply affect the psyche.
- Ego defenses: Protective strategies and the role they play.
- Common manifestations of trauma: Shame, guilt, the inner critic, low self-esteem, perfectionism, procrastination, panic attacks, people-pleasing, aggressive or passive behaviour, difficulty in setting boundaries, social anxiety.
- Practical tools and techniques for self-observation, self-regulation, mindfulness, grounding, boundary-setting, and self-compassion.
- Therapeutic approaches: An overview of healing trauma.
Who can attend
The seminars are not a substitute for therapy, and no prior knowledge is required for attendance. This series is open to any adult who wants to understand trauma, whether for personal insight or to support others, as well as learn practical skills for emotional resilience.

The full 30-hour series:
- 360€, can be paid in 4 installments of 90€.
- 320€ early registration), can be paid in 4 installments of 80€, for registrations received by 20 October 2026.
